Please be advised on the following rules:

Coaching with the Pro:

  • Inviting the Pro: Members can invite the club pro to coach their singles or doubles games from the sidelines. This means the pro can provide guidance and feedback during play.
  • No Point Deductions: Importantly, inviting the pro for coaching does NOT affect Pro’s court booking points.
  • Absenteeism and Substitutions:
    • Singles Games: If a player is absent for a singles game, the court MUST be canceled. The pro cannot substitute in this situation.
    • Doubles Games: If a player is absent from a doubles game, the pro CAN substitute as the fourth player without using any booking points.

Etiquette for Coaching Sessions:

  • Ball Limit: A maximum of 6 balls should be used at a time during coaching sessions.
  • Feedback Location: Players should gather together to receive feedback from the pro, rather than having the pro shout instructions from across the court.
  • Ball Management: Tennis balls should be kept on the court where the coaching is taking place. This helps with organization and prevents balls from rolling onto other courts.
